Online Activities for our Redwood Families
Welcome to our new online experience
Welcome to our new online camp experience– Virtually Redwood!
Connection, creativity & laughter is the best way to help pass the time at home and we would like to give our Redwood campers the opportunity to do some fun activities and connect with their favourite Redwood staff. It is not a camp replacement with groups and counsellors, but we hope that it will bring a little light and laughter into the lives of our campers as we navigate through these difficult times.
This is just the beginning of something new and special. We will be adding new activities weekly to keep our Redwood campers smiling.
We know that we can’t all be together right now, but we would like to continue the Redwood adventure to create magic and bring joy into every child’s life. We are having so much fun developing this new platform that will help us stay connected to our campers.
Enthusiasm, dedication, experience, and warmth are qualities that drive our staff to want to bring this Redwood adventure online. Many of our awesome counsellors have been previous campers, and are excited to bring Redwood to your very own living room!
When I met my husband, Mark, in 1973, he told me he intended to start a summer camp. Over the next decade, while Mark founded and built Redwood, I completed my teaching degree and taught elementary school. My husband lived and breathed Redwood, so it was already a big part of my life and once our two children were in school, I began to take on all the responsibilities of running Redwood. 46 years later, Mark and I are both so proud of all the lifetime of friendships and amazing experiences that we have been able to give the campers and staff. Our philosophy has been this: Respect, Openness, Community and Kindness. Because Redwood R.O.C.K.S!

I've been at Redwood since I was born. Growing up at camp, I've done every activity and every job under the sun, from taking care of the animal farm, cutting grass to being a camp counsellor, newspaper editor and everything in between. As a professional photographer, I'm so excited to be developing Virtually Redwood with this amazing team. Look out for some upcoming Go-Pro footage of my darling Trixie running around camp and my tips on how to be a lazy baker while still impressing your family. I can't wait to see what other fun-filled ideas we can create next!
My name is Kim and I am the unit head for the Smurfs. This is my fourth year at Redwood and my third year on head staff. I am currently studying psychology and plan to work with kids in the future. I have 3 young nephews that I love playing games and doing crafts with. My hope is to bring some of these crafts to you at home, and hopefully bring a smile to your faces!

Hi! My name is Mohul and this is my second year at Redwood. When I was a kid, I loved exploring the woods and doing fun science experiments. This is why I love being the Nature & Science specialist at camp; I get to revisit my childhood self and show campers how fun science can be! Currently, I have just graduated John Abbott College and, in the fall, will be entering McGill’s Faculty of Engineering in the Bioengineering program. In my free time, I like to create things; you can find me drawing, building, sculpting... you name it!
